James Kinnett along with Mark Barbash and Della Rucker presented a seminar on “Changing Thought in Local Economic Development” to the Ohio City/County Management Association Conference in Columbus, Ohio. The presentation keyed on emerging trends and activities that todays Cities must be tracking if they are to continue to thrive and prosper. It also suggested new ways to think about what unique methods will create success in Economic Development and how it should be tracked and interpreted.

James Kinnett, President of The Kinnett Consulting Group was an instructor last week at the Basic Course on Economic Development for Mexico. This is a training program jointly sponsored by Western New Mexico University and CETYS University in Mexicali, Mexico under the auspices of the International Economic Development Council. Topics presented were on Real Estate Development and Reuse, Economic Development Financing, Analyzing Your Prospects, Working with Prospects:Site Location Analysis.
